American Telemedicine Conference Hosts 22nd Annual Conference

A graduate of New York Medical College, Dr. Peter Killcommons serves as chief executive officer for Medweb, a medical software and device company based in San Francisco, California. To stay connected to those in the medical profession, Dr. Peter (Pete) Killcommons belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the American Telemedicine Association (ATA).

A nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, DC, the ATA boasts more than 10,000 members working in health care. The association strives to improve the quality and affordability of health care across the world. It is the largest telehealth-based organization and keeps its members connected through its newsletter and networking opportunities.
One of the ATA's largest networking opportunities is its annual conference. The 22nd annual conference took place April 23-25, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. Attendees learned about the latest in medical technology and how to use telehealth for health care systems, listening to keynote speakers, participating in panel discussions, and speaking to exhibitors.
The conference also included opportunities for continuing medical education (CME) credit. After hours, attendees had a chance to join an evening social and happy hour. The 2018 conference is scheduled for April 29-May 1 in Chicago, Illinois.
